About Love Thy Kitchen

Thank you for stopping by my site.

Growing up in the country, I spent my childhood in the vegetable garden and the kitchen of the family home, sharing home-cooked meals with family and friends every day. I was always very hands-on helping mum in the kitchen – I have a great pic (which I’ll try and fish out of the photo boxes) of me peeling onions in swimming goggles at age 9. I’ve been creating my own recipes ever since I can remember. As I’ve got older, I’ve realised how much better everything tastes when it’s straight from the source. There’s nothing better than being able to take something directly from the garden to the kitchen – with regards to nutrition AND convenience!

Now owning my very own patch of Aussie landscape in the beautiful rolling hills of Central Victoria, I’m able to carry on the growing and cooking of fresh local produce I grew up with, picking vegetables and herbs galore┬áright from my door step (and enjoy the incredible view and fresh air at the same time!)

It doesn’t matter if I’m cooking for one or ten, I can’t help but take pride in the presentation of my food. My husband thinks he’s onto something pretty special čśë

I have a great passion for home-grown produce, nutrition and fabulous food, and I hope others can feed from my enthusiasm in the garden and kitchen, cook more meals at home, share amazing food together and bring community back into eating.
